A Premium German automobile manufacturer aims to lessen its reliance on traditional machine tool and manufacturing equipment suppliers. To meet increasingly stringent local content requirements, the company is considering incorporating Chinese suppliers in these areas.

Supplier Identification: We identified all suppliers of turnkey production solutions for engine manufacturing with operational bases in China.

Our analysis included reviewing publicly accessible corporate information such as financial statements and conducting comprehensive interviews with company representatives, suppliers, and customers. We also visited production facilities to evaluate each step of the value chain.
Evaluation and Decision Support: We developed and applied a quantitative decision model to help our client's management evaluate the options. We prepared and accompanied the client’s project team during factory visits in Dalian and Shenyang and facilitated meetings with the management boards of potential partner companies.
